Male', MALDIVES - Valencia’s former goal keeper trainer Ali Fayaz ( Maadey) reunites with the club for the upcoming season. Maadey, who recently served as a goal keeper trainer of under 19 national team, was in the same position of Valencia in 2005 and 2006 season. Club manager Ahmed Mohamed (Dhona) also confirmed the return of Maadey. “He is willing to take up the post. Even in the last season he was willing to do, but he was not in Male’ when the season starts and by the time he returned, all the posts were filled” Dhona said. “Shaadu and Jadaa acted as goal keeper trainers for the last season. It was difficult for them to find time for practices because of their job. But for Maadey it would be easier for him to get time, because he works on his own” Dhona added. Valencia is also in full gear to appoint a coach and Dhona said they are reviewing the documents of an English and a German coach and soon they will take the final decision. Valencia’s former coach David Booth joined an Indian second division club in the middle of last season for a salary believed to be not less than US$15000. Since the departure of Booth, assistant coach (Binma) Abdullah Waheed took the helm of the club for the rest of the season.
